Pearl Street Mall

My Mom has had this whole week off of work, which she desperately needed!! So today we decided that we would check out the Pearl Street Mall. It was such a nice day-just perfect weather (unlike our camping trip). We went and ate at Illegal Pete's (a place like Chipotle)-it was really good. Then, we went and walked around, looking at all of the crazies that Boulder has to offer and there are lots of them!!! There is a place where the water shoots up and the kids can play in it. The twins loved watching the water shoot up and we even played just a little bit in the water. Then we went and got some treats from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory-Seafoam Katie and I's favorite. We also got some Italian Ice and that was excellent as well!! It was fun day just to be outside and relaxing!!

Katie and Alli playing in the water

Grandma with Alli-she was wearing her Boulder outfit today :)

It's really hard to get the kids to look at the camera wehn there are more fun things to be playing with, like the sunscreen bottle. I guess Lindsey wanted to play with it too.

This is just a random picture that I decided to post. I took this picture this morning, I thought it was too cute. I had to bundle her up, so that she could go outside and help me pull weeds!!

Camping Trip 2008

Well, I did it...I went on my first camping trip with Lindsey!! Originally, we planned on Russ being there, but then he just had to leave the country. So, there I was a single parent out in the woods. We had a fun time and we knew there would be lots of laughs and there was. We went up to Redstone, which is past Glenwood Springs. It was really beautiful up there, just a little too hot though for my liking. The temperatures were at extremes. It was either really hot or really cold and in just moments it would change. We drove up Friday morning-it was pretty rediculous that we ended up taking 3 CARS for only 5 adults and 3 babies!!! We had so much stuff it was amazing, but we were well prepared. My parents did all of the cooking and cleaning which was just awesome. I just relaxed and held Lindsey for most of the trip. I think next year we are going to try the cabin up in Idaho-that sounds like a little bit more fun.
Notice the Little RED nose...this was after the first morning... she was such a good baby!!!
Packing up and getting ready to go home, we were all ready to leave
Grandma with a very tired and sick Alli
Katie after NO sleep for 2 nights-not so much fun!!
What a great Dad that I have!!!

Goodbye to Russ...

Russ left us yesterday for Qatar (located in the Middle East)!!! He is going on this trip for work-the project he is on needs some engineering help "on site" so he volunteered himself to go. Yes, he did volunteer, but he thinks that is will be a good career move for himself. They don't have too many engineers that could go to the site, so he probably would have gone anyway. Oh well, he will be gone until about the middle of October. I think I am the most sad about him leaving Lindsey. She is going to change SO much while he is gone. When he gets back, she will be about 6 1/2 months old!! She loves her daddy too-she always smiles at him and laughs for him. So, here I go a single mom-I don't think I ever want to be a single mom. This does not look like it is going to be much fun!! All I can say is thanks goodness for FAMILY and FRIENDS!!! I am so lucky to have my sister less than a mile away and my parents about 20mins. away. A big thanks to my Mom for watching Lindsey on the days that I work. She is so busy already, but she was so nice to agree to watch the Lins. Wish me luck on this adventure!!!
