Ready, Set, Blog....

I didn't realize how much I have not blogged about from this summer, until I was looking back at my camera. It was time to get them off! Life has finally settled down a bit for a few moments, so we finally get a little bit of an update.

Coming soon....our super fun trip to the Royal Gorge with Russ' family and then hopefully some fun pictures from this upcoming weekend. We are going camping with my family, there should be lots of great moments to remember and blog about!

The Orchard's Splash Pad

A couple weeks ago, Katie and I met our mom for a fun morning at the Orchard's splash pad. The set-up is super fun for the kids: splash pad and climbing fun right next to each other.

Cute Kenna

The bathing beauties.....

Trying for a group shot.....

A little better (but Nick got covered up, darn it, maybe next time)

Playing in the rain....

Yep, I'm a little embarrassed by my kiddos here, but to cute and funny not to post!! So, I realized that Taylor in most of my pictures (recently) does not have any shorts on. She seems to always be down to her diaper and I guess this day was one of them. I seriously can't keep clothes on her in the afternoon. She strips down so fast, it is ridiculous!  So on with the story, it FINALLY rained here and the girls were so excited to go out and play in the rain. Lindsey, I guess thought that you wear the same clothes out in the rain, as you do in the snow. Taylor followed suite.....

So stinkin' cute!!

Random Pictures

Lindsey being super silly....riding her horse with her goggles on! We are on our 3rd set of swim lessons for the summer and good thing we have some goggles!! Lindsey got this horse for Christmas and in the past few months has finally started to ride it. She did not ride it for the first several months and I was seriously contemplating getting rid of it, but then she started to ride it and it gets so much use now! She is constantly doing something with this horse....feeding, brushing, riding, walking, tying it up, etc.

We went to a birthday party and there was a magician/ballon maker. Lindsey asked for a Unicorn and this is what she got. So detailed!! Taylor got a little turtle she could wear on her wrist, she LOVED that turtle. One night, after the kids went to bed, Russ got rid of them. They lasted quite awhile, but I new the end was coming and it wouldn't be good if the kids were involved. :)

Have I ever mentioned before that Taylor is trouble??? Well, I guess she got tired of waiting for breakfast one morning and decided to get some waffles out of the freezer and don't worry, she did NOT forget the syrup!! Hard to see in the picture, but there is syrup on the waffle and the rug. Love this little girl!!  I would have nothing to keep me busy, if I didn't have her. :)

Riding Pete at Great Grandma and Grandpa's

Right before the 4th of July, Katie and I took the kids up to our grandparent's house in Berthoud. The kids love seeing their great grandparents, love getting super fun rides in the Gator, but they especially love seeing Pete!  It was SOOO HOT outside (Colorado has been crazy hot this spring and summer) and so we managed to get the kids out to ride Pete. I helped my grandpa saddle up the horse (poor gramps got stung about 10 times from nasty hornets) and then I led Pete around for the kiddos to ride him. My grandma gave me a break for a minute....it was soo hot!!!  Since, I was doing the leading, I never got a picture of the biggest horse lover ever-Lindsey!! She of course did ride him and didn't really want to give a turn to anyone else. She is a horse hog! But, everyone eventually got a turn and they all had a great time...even Makenna!!  (I even got up and tried to ride Pete, it wasn't pretty).

Feeding the horses at The Ranch

At the beginning of June, Katie and I (and of course the kids) met our mom at The Ranch Park for a "breakfast at the park." We had so much fun eating and playing, but I think the kids had the most fun feeding the VERY friendly horses. I was so glad that I packed the bag of carrots! Taylor was a bit under the weather that day, she had a pretty high fever and wasn't really feeling up to feeding the horses, so she watched with Grandma.  Lindsey was.in.heaven. :)
