I figured it was time for a little update....it has only been 5 weeks! Holy Cow where does that time go? We have been busy with the usual things, so here is a lengthy update!
I celebrated my 29th Birthday this past Thursday-thanks to everyone for the birthday cards and birthday wishes on Facebook. I had a great birthday-the night before my mom, sister and I went out for a girl's night to Bonefish Grill and had a wonderful dinner! It was so nice to be able to just talk without the kiddos. On my actual birthday, it was just another day in paradise. :) I had to work that night, so I think that was hanging over my head all day. But, I did go to lunch with some friends and my sister was nice enough to watch my kids, so that I could get away again. Then I took a little nap and went to work. Birthday's as an adult with children just are not the same. :( Oh well, it is just a birthday and overall it was really wonderful!
Russ has been SUPER busy with work, school (2 classes for his MBA right now) and finishing our basement. Him and his brother finished the drywall this weekend. Yeah!! The finisher is going to come tomorrow night and hopefully get started on it sooner than later. Then paint, flooring, etc. Still a lot to do, but just having that drywall done makes it seem like we are so much closer. They are doing such a great job and I really couldn't be more thankful for such a wonderful husband. I know that he is stressed and not completely enjoying his life right now, but it will ALL be worth it! Good job Russ!
Lindsey is almost 3 (6 weeks away!) and I am seriously starting to dread the "threatening 3's" because she really is a difficult 2 year old. Love her to pieces, but there is not a day that goes by that she does not test my patience. Confession time......Lindsey has finally given up on these...

(sorry large picture) That is right the "paci fairy" FINALLY came and she has now been without her paci for a few weeks now. The 1st few days were pretty hard on her and I just wanted to reach up into her closet so many times and just give it back to her, but I knew I would just have to do it all over again. So we did some bribing like giving her this if she fell asleep for her 1st nap and bedtime without the paci and it worked really well, but then on the 2nd day she didn't care if she had her Cinderella dress. (Which ripped after the 2nd day-thanks to cheap Walmart and has been replaced by Belle-which is ripped also, but will not be returning). She did get through it and is so happy to be a "big girl" now.
Lindsey is still doing Tot School and loves it! She looks forward to seeing her friends every week and doing projects. She is completely into dress-up these days and has unfortunately learned to take her clothes off to play dress-up. She also loves to sing and I catch her throughout the day singing "I am a child of God." LOVE IT!!
Taylor is 8 1/2 months old now and getting so big! She has her 2 bottom teeth and is army crawling all over the place. She still practices trying to crawl normally, but hasn't mastered it yet. These pictures were taken just a few days before she started army crawling. She was practicing a lot!
She is already learning how to get into the recycle and trashes. I never had to worry about this with Lindsey, since she never crawled. This is going to be a new experience for me! She is still my smiley little girl. She is saying dada and mama, but with no real relation.
Lindsey loves to hold (carry) Taylor like this...Taylor usually laughs the whole time. Taylor sure loves her big sister!
So I think that about sums us up for the time being! We are alive and happy! Russ got a few pictures of the girls before church this morning. I got them matching outfits for Christmas and I thought they looked pretty cute this afternoon.
