Christmas 2010!!

We had Christmas in two parts this year. The first part was the weekend before Christmas when Russ' parent's came out to visit and bring "Christmas" to us! We had a great weekend with them. Russ and his dad worked on our basement (thank you sooo much for all your help). Shalia and I ran errands with the girls and just enjoyed one another's company. We took the girls to see Santa at our ward Christmas party (Santa was before the actual party, so we just went to see Santa and then left). Lindsey talked about seeing Santa the whole way there and was super excited to see him and tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Well, when we got there, it was a WHOLE different story. She was scared to death of that old man. We eventually got her to go up with Grandma and she barely told him what she wanted....baby dolls. Then, we came home and opened up the Christmas presents. We were all spoiled! :) Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Moses!
(I know my mother in law is really going to thank me fore posting this picture, but Lindsey took it and I thought it was cute. I even posted one of myself & Taylor that Lindsey took).

Then, on the actual Christmas weekend, we went with my family up to my Grandparent's home in Berthoud. We were so sad that my grandparent's weren't there to enjoy the craziness with us, we sure did miss them! It wasn't quite the same. We spent Christmas Eve, Christmas day and most of Sunday at the house, just hanging out and having a great time. I really enjoyed being able to be together as a family.

We had a wonderful Italian meal on Christmas Eve-this is a Kershaw tradition (my mom's parent's started this tradition and it stuck!) Lindsey was so funny, she saw that we had "special" glasses for our sparkling cider and she insisted on having one too. My mom found a mini one that was just her size and she was cracking us all up with how she would hold the glass and drink from it.
Another tradition we have is that the grandkids get to open up two presents. My mom gets them Christmas pj's, a book and an ornament. Here is Lindsey holding up her book.
Taylor and Makenna having a ball being naked!!
Lindsey opened up her present from Santa first and he brought her exactly what she wanted...a new baby doll! She does love this baby so much. (Or at least that is what I keep telling myself).
This is Lindsey and I on Christmas morning-looking so beautiful. Not quite as beautiful as the homeless person next to us....oh wait that is my brother!!!
We had lots of good food and snacks! Lindsey helping my parent's make 7-Layer Dip. Yumm!
And we can't forget about the little bit of R&R that we all got. I love this picture of my dad playing with the girls. I found my dad like this a lot-I love that he loves his grandkids!

Christmas Fun!!!

I was playing with a photo editor tonight-PICNIK, that David and Natalie suggested I try using! So much fun to play with the different effects! Like I have time to be playing with this! Just thought I would post these cute pictures of my smiley little Taylor from Christmas! Thanks Dave and Nat!!!

SPOILED!!

I have been just a tiny bit spoiled lately.....

For example, Russ got me an awesome MacBook for Christmas! I told him about a month before Christmas that I couldn't handle only have 1 computer while he was doing his Master's and that I thought we needed to invest in a laptop. I am so excited to have my own computer, no more getting frustrated that he is hogging it all night, every night!!

AND......

I got a new CAR!! Well, I guess I can't call it a car, but I got a new mini van and to be specific, it is a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. It is a beautiful black-completely decked out with leather, 2 DVD screens, navigation, remote start, etc! We just couldn't pass up on the great incentives that they were offering.
We decided to get a new car, because I was starting to feel like my car was getting a little squishy. I could really only fit 2 car seats and so if I ever wanted to take another kid with me, there really was no room. Also, my car I feel is still worth a little bit of money, so we decided to just take the plunge and buy a new car. Now for the car payments again. YIKES!! It was really nice not to have one for awhile!

So, I think that is all the money we are spending for awhile!! I am truly so very blessed!!

And the blogging begins...

I will attempt to get caught up from the craziness from the holidays! We spent Thanksgiving this year with Russ' family in Grand Junction. We were supposed to spend Christmas, but then my brother told me back in September that they were planning on coming out here for Christmas, so that changed things just a little. Thank goodness my mother-in-law is forgiving!! :) Next year will be in Grand Junction, I promise! We did have a wonderful time there for Thanksgiving. We missed Russ' brother Trevor though, because he left 2 days before we got there for The National Guard-basic training. We relaxed and ate a lot of yummy food! I am a slacker and only got one picture....we decided to put Taylor & Ashlyn in the bath together. They were having a great time together.

After we got back from Thanksgiving, I met my best-friend from High School, April, at Little Monkey Bizness. We let our older kids play and we got to catch-up on everything. Something, that we don't get to very often. I am so excited that her parent's moved back to Colorado, so hopefully, now I will get to see her a little more often, when she comes to visit!!

These other 2 pictures are just random pictures of the kiddos.....
Lindsey drives me crazy most days, but she is also a lot of fun!! She just has so much personality, a little too much at times!! This is her being "good" one day and playing with her play dough.

Taylor is getting soooo big, she turned 7 months the other day! Where have the past 7 months, gone?? I am really not sure! I had to wait until she was 5 1/2 months to start her on solids, because of a breastfeeding study that I have her in. But, she LOVES everything I have fed her so far. She is a pretty good little eater. She is not crawling yet, but I am determined to have a baby that crawls, so we work on it most days. She is just a really happy, smiley baby!!
