On Friday, the 2nd, Lindsey had her 2nd Birthday! We didn't do much of anything to celebrate that day, but I did have a small party for her on Sunday with family. We started out the morning with brunch, then we had an Easter Egg hunt, opened presents and then we ate some cupcakes! Lindsey was spoiled of course...it is really hard not to spoil your first child. Russ and I gave her a kitchen and she loves playing with it. It was nice to have her entertain herself a little bit today. She also got a shopping cart, fruits/veggies, a bike, and a water/sand table-that we will only use with water outside! She loved everything! Here are a couple pictures of the big day!
Alli was the best at finding the Easter eggs!
Nick was eager to get outside and find eggs, but once out there he got distracted with the rocks and only managed to get 4 of the eggs!
Trying on her new sunglasses! Too cute!
Alli helping Lindsey open her presents! There were only a few moments. It must be really hard to be a toddler and have to learn to share!
My Dad and cute little Makenna taking a little snooze. This is very common!
I decided that I was going to try and be creative. This is the result. Cute, but not how they looked in the picture! They are stuffed with strawberries and Mascarpone cheese. Loved the cupcake and filling, but the frosting as you can imagine was a little too sweet.
This is as much of a pregnancy shot that you will get. Only 7 1/2 weeks to go!!
Lindsey trying to figure out how to eat her cupcake. She was a little overwhelmed by it at first.
Here are Lindsey's 2 year STATS:
Weight: 24 lbs. 14oz. (25th percentile-finally gaining some weight-yeah!!)
Height: 34 3/4 inches (75th percentile-exactly where she always is)
Favorite things to do:
*Boss her mom and dad around
*Sing the alphabet, twinkle-twinkle, and attempt to count
*Help out with everything!!!!
*Play with her babies: sing to them and rock them
*Talk-she has quite the vocabulary
Things we will conquer in this next year:
*Move to a big girl bed
*Potty train
*Get rid of her favorite paci and blankies
Happy Birthday my sweet, independent, little girl!!
I LOVE YOU!!
