On July 4th, our little Taylor was given a name and a blessing by her father. The blessing was beautiful-this is something I always look forward to as a mom. There is just something about listening to your husband give your children a blessing. It is such a special moment. I am so very grateful for Russ and the righteous priesthood holder that he is. He is an incredible father and husband. Taylor was blessed to have so many wonderful men in the circle-her Dad, Grandpa Kershaw, Grandpa Moses, Great Grandpa Plowman, Great Uncle Rusty (Ross), Uncle David, Uncle Brian, Uncle Trevor, Jake (my Mom's cousin), and a member of the Bishopric-Doug Vejnar.
After the blessing, we had everyone over to our house for lunch. It was so nice to have everyone over to catch up and talk. I unfortunately did not get any pictures, because it was a little crazy here with 20+ people. We had an enjoyable time!
Then, that evening we celebrated my Dad's birthday (he is a 4th of July baby) with just my immediate family. David was in town, so that was a special treat!! We had steak, baked potatoes and salad for dinner. It was so yummy! Unfortunately, the weather was not so wonderful, so we missed out on fireworks! That is always my favorite part of the 4th!
*Side note-the pictures we got were not so wonderful from the blessing. It was a little chaotic at the house and Taylor was not happy. Lindsey was sidetracked by all of the people.*

I am sad we missed it! She is so adorable!
It really was a beautiful blessing! Taylor is adorable even with the yucky baby acne.
Sounds like fun and a house full! Gotta love those baby blessings. What is even better than the father giving the blessing is that the mother was willing to have the baby :) Congrats you two. Courtney, you look great as always! Miss you guys!
